This proves that you need a rear wing to drive at 300 mph. Tony broke his leg in this incident and went on to race a few weeks later. He then won the 04, 05, and 06 championships.

Heres a movie of a bad crash from Tony Thorton who continuously rolls his VW a heap of times after going through the traps. He is now the CEO of ANDRA. It also brings back memories of when we (in Australia) used to race at Calder Park and Adelaide International. The other guy in the white monaro is Peter Michaels who my dad, Michael Zotti used to race against in his yellow Holden Camira.
